Product Overview

This package includes our patented Sear Control Springs (3 springs) from our full P365 trigger kit available alone. These parts are compatible with stock and aftermarket triggers using the stock sear and striker. The desired wall/break feel and travel distance from wall to break/reset to wall can be achieved by installing one of these springs. A higher numbered spring will increase this travel and may be perceived closer to a “rolling” type break and a lower numbered spring will tend to be perceived as a more “crisp” break but results are dependent on the unique tolerances of the gun. The sear control spring does not function like a spring in the system. It functions like a tube or sleeve over the safety lever pin inside the FCU. The safety lever pin is also the stop point for the ride height of the sear, so by increasing its effective thickness with the sear control spring over it, the sear ride height is reduced which in turn reduces sear engagement and the amount of travel from wall to break. When trying to eliminate mush/creep (which is what most want), the lowest number sear control spring should be selected that provides full coverage of the sear interfacing surface by the striker to maintain full safety and reliablity margins. In most guns, this will be a #1 sear control spring. However in the more extreme case, a #3 sear control spring can act like a #1 in another gun. See the pictures below for a visualization of what the sear control spring does (also shows the other types of travel reduction for other parts in our full trigger kit). An appriopriately selected sear control spring will have neglibable effect on pull weight. If pull weight reduction is desired, see our P365 reduced power striker safety spring or full kit.

Note: A modified OEM manual safety lever is needed for compatiblity when using a sear control spring with a manual safety model (also available for purchase on the website). Although not necessary, a polished striker can provide a more crisp break but is dependant on the gun as to how much benefit will be achieved (polished striker or polishing kit also available on the website). Not recommended for use with aftermarket strikers (not compatible with geometry changes).

See our full kit for installation videos.

In stock and ships within 1 to 2 business days.

Disclaimer: These parts should be installed by a certified and knowledgeable gunsmith. Due to tolerance variations between guns, safety and reliability margins should be inspected during installation and periodically thereafter during maintenance. Engagement of the sear to striker should be inspected to verify full coverage of the sear interfacing surface. Although it is unlikely one or more Sear Control Springs provided in this kit will result in less than full sear coverage, a Sear Control Spring that provides full coverage should be used in order to maintain reliability. Tactical Trigger, LLC assumes no liability for installation or use of this product.

these springs gave me so much adjustability for so many different configurations. I just wish I had known about these before I wasted a lot of money on triggers that didn't work the way I wanted!! Great service too

    Sear Control Springs

Excellent solution for any p365 module that has a long, rolling, mushy trigger break after reaching "the wall." 3 springs to choose from in this kit. Overall trigger travel is the same but distance from wall to break is shortened and the break is much more crisp.
